HOLY WEEK
The holiest week of the Church's calendar moves forward diligently.
All masses will be held in the Parish Center Auditorium at our regular scheduled
times, with "overflow" masses to accommodate larger crowds.
There will also be extra opportunities for the celebration of the Sacrament of
Reconciliation during Holy Week. Confessions will be heard Wednesday
thru Saturday from 3pm-5pm, with at least 2 confessors per hour.
The celebrations for the evenings of the Triduum will be held in the Parish
Auditorium. Holy Thursday's celebration of the Mass of the Lord's Supper
will be at 5:15pm. Cardinal George is the celebrant, Fr. Matt Compton will
preach.
There are two Good Friday celebrations. Bishop Lyne will preside and preach
at 12:10pm. Cardinal George will preside at the 5:15pm service, Fr. Dan Mayall
will preach.
There will be a celebration of the Easter Vigil at 7:30pm celebrated by Fr. John
Boivin.
Easter Sunday celebrations will remain in the Parish Auditorium, while
"overflow" masses will also take place to accommodate the larger crowds.
Looking forward to seeing you around throughout these upcoming holy days.
"On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, "They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don't know where they put him.
So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place. Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and HE SAW AND BELIEVED." (John 20:1-8)
Very special blessings for Holy Week and especially Easter Joy, y'all!
